As a San Diego native, Ellen was exposed to San Diego real estate at an early age through her parents, Jim and Patti Scott of West Coast Properties. She assisted her parents with open houses and learned about the local neighborhoods before she was even in high school. She always loved connecting with her parent's many different clients and admiring the beautiful homes throughout San Diego County. Ellen later earned a degree in Marketing and Business Communication at Emory University in Atlanta, which has served her clients well when marketing their homes.
Before launching her career in real estate, Ellen worked as a television news producer in both international and local news in Washington, DC. During her time in the media industry, she learned the importance of accuracy and constant up-to-date communication, which are paramount when working with her buyers and sellers. She will always keep you informed as she helps you accomplish your real estate goals. Ellen managed a team of global anchors, reporters, and producers with different priorities and demands and produced five hours of programming daily. During her time as a producer, Ellen learned to manage multiple tasks under pressure while meeting extremely tight deadlines. In this job, she honed her already strong organizational skills, and you can be confident she will be able to manage all of the moving parts of your real estate transaction to make sure it runs smoothly.
Ellen worked to attract a wide variety of audiences from China to Africa in her international news shows and continues to do so in real estate by using the vast online Berkshire Hathaway marketing tools to make sure your home is seen by potential buyers everywhere. A recent homebuyer herself, Ellen understands local market trends and the importance of finding the perfect property. She resides in the Santaluz area with her husband Will, sons Billy and Preston, and dog Luna.
